- All our websites are ‘Responsive’, which is state-of-the-art, ‘mobile friendly’ technology. Responsive websites automatically adjust to the screen-size of any device…PC, MAC, iPad, iPhone, Tablets, Smartphones, etc.
- With a responsive website, there is no separate mobile site to maintain, which cuts down on maintenance.
- Google believes it to be a best practice to use Responsive Web Design (RWD) and improves ‘ranking’ accordingly.
- All good reasons why all our dental websites are Responsive.
OWNERSHIP… DO I OWN MY WEBSITE OR DO I PAY MONTHLY ON A LONG-TERM CONTRACT?
Our clients own their websites and there is no long-term monthly contract.
ARE YOUR DENTAL SITES CUSTOM DESIGNS OR TEMPLATES?
All our websites are custom designs. For design direction we use several queues provided by our clients, including… websites the client likes, client logo, color preferences, etc.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DESIGN A DENTIST WEBSITE?
We can have a new website designed within 3 weeks, but the project timeline is 9 weeks to allow clients time to gather pictures, forms, bios, etc.
CAN I KEEP MY WEBSITE NAME IF I DESIGN A NEW WEBSITE WITH firstdentist.com?
Yes you can. Most of our clients already have a website and continue using the same domain name with the new website.
DOES firstdentist.com HOST CLIENT’S WEBSITES?
We host our client’s websites for $15 per month.
ARE THERE MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEES AND IF SO, WHAT ARE THEY FOR?
The only monthly maintenance fee is the hosting fee of $15 per month.
WHAT TYPES OF PICTURES CAN CLIENTS PROVIDE?
Office photos, staff photos, Before & After pictures. We can provide stock photos where needed.
CAN I ADD VIDEOS TO MY WEBSITE?
Yes, you can add videos to your website. For example, Office intro video, free videos available through your dental associations or marketing videos from companies whose services you provide…for example, Invisalign, Acceledent, etc.
HOW MANY PAGES CAN I HAVE ON MY SITE?
There is no limit to the number of pages you can have on your site. We can provide all content but you can add as many pages as you like.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A LOGO?
Most clients opt to have a logo designed if they don’t already have one. If you choose not to have a logo on your site, we can use your practice name in place of a logo. Please keep in mind that having a logo is beneficial to your practice branding.
DO YOU PROVIDE DENTAL CONTENT?
Yes, we provide dental content for our client’s websites.
CAN I ADD SOCIAL MEDIA TO MY WEBSITE?
Absolutely! We can add your social media links and in fact we highly recommend it.
CAN PATIENTS GET DIRECTIONS TO MY DENTAL PRACTICE FROM MY WEBSITE?
All our client’s sites have Google Maps that provide a link for requesting directions.
HOW MANY EMAIL ADDRESSES WITH MY WEBSITE NAME AM I ALLOWED?
Our websites come with unlimited emails.
CAN PATIENTS SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FROM MY WEBSITE?
Yes! We can add appointment scheduling functionality to your website.
CAN I ADD BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES TO MY WEBSITE?
Yes you can… this is an excellent opportunity promote your work to current and potential patients.!
CAN I ADD PATIENT FORMS?
Most clients add patient forms to their websites. Forms include, health history, patient registration, HIPAA forms, etc.
CAN PATIENT FORMS BE FILLABLE ONLINE?
Yes, we can take your current forms and make them fillable on your new website.
CAN PATIENTS EMAIL FORMS TO OUR OFFICE?
We can set up forms to be HIPAA compliant and submitted by email.
CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE LOCATION ON MY WEBSITE?
Yes you can. We have clients with 3 or 4 locations.
CAN I ADD TESTIMONIALS?
Great idea! Testimonials are a great way to let prospective clients learn about you practice.
CAN I USE PICTURES AND/OR CONTENT FROM MY CURRENT WEBSITE?
Yes, you can use as much content from your current site as you’d like.
HOW DO I PROVIDE CONTENT DURING THE PROJECT?
We setup our clients with a Dropbox folder which is a Cloud based software for sharing software. We can see any content you add to your Dropbox folder.
HOW DO I GO ABOUT UPDATING MY WEBSITE?
Our clients can a) edit their own websites or b) submit there changes to us through our simple to use Help Desk portal.
a) Our websites are designed on the WordPress platform. WordPress (WP) is the world’s most popular Content Management System (CMS) and as easy to edit as a Word document.
We can provide simple to follow instructions.
b) Most of our clients send their changes through our Help Desk portal because we’ve made the process for submitting changes very simple to use, the cost is minimal and updates are completed within 72 hours.
